Infinix has confirmed that its upcoming gaming smartphone, the Infinix GT 50 Pro, will launch in India on October 27. The device will be released in partnership with Flipkart and boasts several gaming-centric features, starting with its design. Infinix has teased the GT 50 Pro’s design, which draws inspiration from the Cyber Macha supercar. The smartphone will also feature built-in LED lights and come in a variety of color options. The brand has confirmed key specifications that align with the global version of the Infinix GT 50 Pro.
A key highlight of the Infinix GT 50 Pro is its HydroFlow liquid cooling system, which utilizes a micro-pump liquid cooling network designed to enhance thermal performance during intense gaming sessions. Additionally, the phone features a unique “window” design, allowing the liquid cooling channels to be clearly viewed through a dedicated opening on the rear panel.
The smartphone is equipped with “Mechanical Light Waves”—four RGB light strips arranged in the brand’s signature GT crosshair pattern. These lights respond to incoming calls, gaming activity, and music playback, offering 14 lighting effects and 8 customizable color options.
For gaming, the GT 50 Pro features “GT Trigger 2.0,” integrating two pressure-sensitive shoulder buttons along the top edge. These buttons can be mapped to various in-game actions—such as aiming and shooting—as well as functions like camera zooming and app launching.
Furthermore, the smartphone will be available in two colorways: Abyss Black and Flame Red. Its design draws inspiration from racing and cyber-mecha aesthetics, featuring aerodynamic lines, a tapered waist, and streamlined curves derived from wind-tunnel testing. The rear panel sports a Kevlar-textured finish crafted from 2D composite materials, balancing durability with a lightweight feel.
Infinix GT 50 Pro Specifications
Infinix did not confirm specific specifications for the GT 50 Pro in its Indian launch announcement. However, the phone had already made its global debut in Indonesia earlier this year. Given that the previously teased features for the Indian version match those of the global model, we anticipate the specifications will remain consistent.
Globally, the Infinix GT 50 Pro features a 6.78-inch AMOLED LTPS display with 1.5K resolution and a peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. At its core, the device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultimate—a high-performance mid-range SoC capable of handling virtually any usage scenario. Additionally, it features a 6500mAh battery with support for 45W wired and 30W wireless fast charging. The Infinix GT 50 Pro runs XOS 16 (based on Android 16) and promises five system upgrades.
In terms of photography, the Infinix GT 50 Pro is expected to feature a dual rear camera setup (50MP + 8MP) and a 13MP front-facing camera.
While this phone may not appeal strongly to photography enthusiasts, it could be a compelling choice for power users—particularly gamers. If you currently own an older Infinix GT model, it might be worth waiting for detailed comparative reviews to see if the HydroFlow system delivers a significant upgrade.
The GT 50 Pro is likely positioned as a mid-range device, entering a segment that already includes performance-oriented options like the POCO X8 series. Real-world testing will reveal whether the Infinix GT 50 Pro lives up to its promises, though its pricing in India will ultimately be the deciding factor in its success.
